Full Set vs. Full Refill

In this post we are getting back to basics to let you know the difference between what a full set is, and what a full refill is. If you have never gotten your lashes done before, these terms can be quite confusing. A full set? Is this a nail salon?? No no, but we get it. The lingo can be a little baffling, so we want to clear the air for you, and to start out, we will dive into the difference between getting a full set of lashes, and a refill on your lashes.

What is a full set?

A full set of lashes is when you are getting brand new set of lashes. Whether you are a first-timer, or you’ve had lash extensions for a while, you can get a full set. A full set of lashes is where our lash technicians full cover your lash line with luscious, gorgeous lashes! You can talk to your lash tech and customize what you want your lashes to look like, what kind of extensions you want, how long you want your lashes, and so on. We have a chart here that goes over the different types that we create in our studio. A full set of lashes typically takes 2 hours to apply, and you get to lay there and relax while we do all the work!

What is a refill?

Did you know that your lashes go through a lash cycle where you lose 20-30% of your natural lashes every couple weeks? Yep, it’s true! So while this cycle is taking place while your wearing lash extensions, your natural lashes will naturally shed on their own, and when they do that, the extension will fall out with it. So you are going to need to get a fill on those new lashes that are now growing in, and that’s what a lash fill is. You will come into our studio and we will fill in where your lashes need filling with new lash extensions, and then you get to be on your way! Typically we see clients get refills every 2-3 weeks, and these appointments usually only take about an hour.
