3 Money-Saving Beauty Tips/Dupes

We all wanna look good, all the time right? It seems that stores like Sephora and Ulta keep getting more and more aggressive in their advertising, trying to make it seem like their makeup they carry is the only “quality” makeup on the market. While I believe this to be true to a point, there have been brands I have discovered, and other shops to shop at where I have found similar quality in the product, but for much cheaper. Below are some beauty dupes I have found and have been utilizing for the last few years:

Dupe #1: Find Your Makeup & Makeup Tools on Amazon for Much Cheaper

Not only do they have most of the makeup that Sephora and Ulta carry, but some of it is less than the stores are selling it for. They also have some great dupes for some of my go-to necessities. For example, I used to be a Beauty Blender addict. Like, I had to have the brand-name sponge. I wouldn’t buy anything else. Then after a couple of years of using them (and realizing I was literally throwing my money in the garbage every few months to buy another one), I decided to give up on them. Recently I wanted to try it again, but didn’t want to spend the $23 that they cost (and yes that is just for one sponge). So I got on Amazon and searched “beauty blender dupe” in the search bar, and a listing came up that included 5 Beauty Blender looking sponges in a pack that cost $6, and it had over 2,000 5-star reviews. I instantly bought them and have been using them for the last 4 months. They work just as great and you would never know the difference.

Dupe #2: Loreal Has Awesome Makeup

I never noticed this until recently, but a lot of my makeup is made by Loreal. Why? Because I have been using these same products since High School and the quality has been so good that I have never needed to look to other brands. My eyeliner, BB Cream, Mascara (for my bottom lashes since I have extensions on top), and blush are all made by Loreal. If you are in a pinch and need a “cheaper” brand of something, I say go with Loreal. The quality is top notch (as in it lasts all day without budging) and the price is on-point. Also, here’s a fun fact: did you know that Loreal owns Garnier, Maybelline, and Lancome? So the quality in those brands is just the same as Loreal, just a different name. Who knew?!

Tip #3: Wash Your Hair Less

I love this dupe and have been doing it for years. Initially I started doing it out of laziness, but once I started going longer and longer without washing my hair, I realized my hair was getting healthier, and at the same time, I was saving money on shampoo. Letting your hair go at least a few days between washes not only allows its natural oils to soak in and help keep itself healthy, but it makes it so you don’t have to buy shampoo and conditioner as often, all while not having to blow-dry your strands each day and that saves you time! It’s a win-win-win situation and it’s amazing. You can go extreme like me and only wash every 5 weeks or so, or you can do a few days. It’s up to you :)

We hope these tips/dupes help put money in your pocket all the while keeping you looking fabulous. They have worked for us and we love sharing our knowledge :) You shouldn’t have to spend lots of money to look and feel good, and hopefully this post helped with that.
